Today, Jetcity owns and operates two Learjets, the 35A and
36A, both of which meet the highest standards of the Civil
Aviation Safety Authority of Australia.
Learjet Capabilities
With excellent load carrying capabilities, a speed of over
835 km/h, a range of 4100 km (2200 nautical miles) and a ceiling
altitude of 45,000 feet, your patient is afforded safety and
comfort well above the weather, arriving at your destination
in minimal time. The Learjet is also equipped with a large
three foot wide door providing ease of access for the patient,
which is why the Learjet is the first choice of preferred
Aero-Medical Jet Ambulance for many companies worldwide.
Lifeport Patient Stretcher System
The Learjet utilizes the Lifeport patient stretcher system. This
self contained system is equipped with regulators, flow meters,
pumps to provide a vacuum source and a 3300 litre oxygen bottle
with additional “D” size bottles available. All
electrical requirements are met through 12Volt DC, 24Volt
DC, and 240Volt AC outlets to accommodate defibrillators,
syringe pumps and other devices. The electrical outlets come
complete with many combinations of adaptors and electrical
leads to meet specific equipment design and country differences.
Normally our Learjets are equipped with one stretcher system
with five seats available for the medical team and/or family
members. If required our Learjet 35A can accommodate two stretchers
with two seats being available for a medical team. The stretcher
itself is able to be adjusted from a lying down position to
an up right sitting position. This interior has been specially
designed and is approved to meet stringent Civil Aviation
Safety Authority regulations.
Intravenous
Intravenous fluids are managed by way of IV fluid poles or
a track and roller assembly mounted on the ceiling above the
stretcher. With this design you may hang intravenous drips
from the rollers then move them to any position above the
patient. The Learjet’s fully pressurized cabin can maintain
sea level pressure up to an altitude of 25,000 feet, vital
in transporting victims of head injury or nitrogen narcosis
(the bends).
State-of-the-art Medical Equipment
Most importantly the Learjet can accommodate life support
and monitoring equipment, paediatric emergency equipment,
neonatal humidicribs, traction and splint equipment, ECMO
equipment, or any other state-off-the-art medical equipment
that may be specific to the flight.
